MoANF, in collaboration with United Way Ghana, initiated a home learning program during the COVID-19 pandemic, benefiting 700 underprivileged students in Ayawaso East Municipality.
With schools closed due to safety measures, the program aimed to enhance literacy skills among young learners, providing specially designed materials and engaging sessions twice a week for two months.
Participants and volunteers received essential Personal Protective Equipment, ensuring adherence to COVID-19 safety measures. Corporate sponsors like 3M and Newmont supported the initiative by sponsoring learning materials, PPE, and transportation for volunteers.
This program responded to the community’s plea for continued learning opportunities amidst school closures, preventing children from resorting to street life during the pandemic.
