A Note From Our Director
Greetings, I’m Ishaq Abubakar Zico Newton, serving as the Executive Director at Mother of All Nations Foundation. It’s a profound privilege to hold this pivotal role, enabling me to spearhead the organization’s growth and development.
Education is the cornerstone of development, the fundamental pillar upon which every success rests. Education, whether formal or informal, guides transformative growth. I am forever indebted to initiatives that improve education, based on my personal experience with the detrimental repercussions of inadequate education.
My upbringing in Madina exposed me to many of our community’s issues. I understand the way to achievement and the imperative of constructive change in the face of adversity. From my current position, I’ve cultivated positive influence throughout the years, and the narrative of our organization’s impact speaks loudly.
The foundation grew significantly in 2022, leaving indelible marks on so many lives. Through carefully developed and structured projects to improve educational quality, empowerment, and skill development, we reached and impacted nearly 12,000 children and young people.
In 2022, we launched ReadCamp to the Zogbeli community in northern Ghana. This extension included Greater Accra, Ashanti, and Volta regions. We also celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child for the first time with the African University College of Communication (AUCC) Students’ Representative Council (SRC) and other relevant institutions.
I am also pleased to announce that we have secured our first grant from the Global Fund for Children. Through this accomplishment, we established enduring ties with peer organizations within and beyond our borders. This achievement could illuminate our path and propel us to our dream success of helping to attain the sustainable development goals under the UN Agenda 2030.
A great appreciation to our dedicated volunteers, loyal partners, relentless sponsors, transformative beneficiaries, collaborative peer organizations, committed board of advisors, and, most importantly, the extraordinary team that breathes life into MoANF’s vision to life every blessed day.
As we travel together, it is our collective growth that defines us. Let us extend our arms to embrace everyone, ensuring that no child is left behind.
