Community Growth & Social Inclusion

COMMUNITY-BASED CIVIC ENGAGEMENTS

Our community-based development program focuses on empowering youth in the communities to be active citizens and community development-focused. They should strive to be impactful in their communities and participate in all activities geared towards the development of their communities.

In addition, they should be interested in local government activities and be ready to hold community leaders and local government leaders accountable and responsible. This could be achieved through community-based accountability forums, community-focused discussions, the inducement of a volunteering spirit, and citizenship training on accountability, leadership, and transformation.

Over the years, we have held forums to educate youth on the roles of the local assembly in community development and how they can become active citizens and seek accountability.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD

This is a pivotal initiative observed annually on October 11, established by the UN in 2011 to raise awareness about the pressing challenges faced by girls globally, particularly related to gender inequality, inadequate access to education, child trafficking, forced marriages, and fundamental rights issues. Our commitment to championing Gender Equality finds expression in our observance of this day. By recognizing and celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child, we contribute to SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 4 (Quality Education). We strive to create a world where every girl has equal opportunities, access to education, and the empowerment to fulfill her potential, aligning our efforts with the UN’s broader goal of achieving gender equality and ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all.

IFTAR WITH INMATES

Our initiative, IFTAR WITH INMATES, directly contributes to SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). By providing nutritious meals and messages of encouragement to inmates in selected Ghanaian prisons during Ramadan, we’re addressing food security and promoting a sense of compassion and humanity. This initiative builds inclusivity and contributes to creating peaceful and just societies by offering support to incarcerated individuals, ensuring their basic needs are met while promoting a more equitable and compassionate society.
